The HR & Talent Manager’s role is vital. You will be required to work closely with the MD & Directors to create and manage processes to help engage, motivate & retain our existing talent. You will comfortable scouring the industry for the best talent to fill new positions and replace those leaving us – without the need to lean on recruitment agencies, ensuring best practice is followed along the way. You will also be required to own the preservation of sensitive information relating to employees and provide counsel to all employees, delivering a seamless HR support service across the agency.
Be determined in making sure we have the right people in the right seats
Lead talent acquisition by meeting a volume of relevant candidates regularly
Manage the end to end recruitment process
Be one step ahead; regularly catch up with teams to find out status of talent so that you are never surprised by a new brief
Manage and improve the employer brand by creating suitable collateral, industry news, and great PR, positioning the agency as a great place to work
Ensure all job specs are uniformed, inspirational & reflect the company values
Regularly update Workable, ensuring all briefs and placements are logged accordingly
Create clear recruitment process from brief to placing and communicate this to the wider team to ensure management of expectations
Develop and roll out a graduate scheme, ensuring the attraction of top graduate talent into the agency.
Help identify star talent with MD & Directors to develop a plan to fast track, motivate and retain.
Promote and help nurture an excellence culture – measure employee satisfaction and identify areas that require improvement, making recommendations accordingly
Lead in developing internal training programme in line with outcome of staff appraisals
Be fully responsible for all employee relation’s matters
Manage procedures, such as absence & disciplinaries
Provide up to date management information and analysis for board reports
Work with the wider HR team to review and update HR policies and procedures & internally communicate this regularly.
Work with the wider HR team to ensure up to date knowledge of all legal and legislative requirements in the UK employment law and HR best practice
Strong generalist HR skill set – ideally if gained within an organisation which is fast moving, dynamic and creative
Ideally CIPD qualified and educated to degree level
Strong understanding and interest of current employment law (European and US) and its application within an HR environment
Experience in managing a wide variety of employee relations issues
Experience of building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders
Proven record of reducing recruitment agency spend; well networked across the PR, creative, events and digital industries.
Experience with HR and Talent databases
Well organised; ability to prioritise; attention to detail; common sense
Creative thinking “outside the box” to providing solutions/solving problems
Collaborative self starter with initiative
Energetic, confident, charismatic – a credible team player who can motivate.
