John Smedley has been in business for over 225 years. Every piece of clothing is made in the brand’s family-owned factory in Derbyshire. The fabrics used are of the best quality, the craft techniques – spinning, dyeing, treating, finishing – are the result of years of acquired knowledge. But how to tell this story to a broad range of people, in an engaging way, across different platforms?
We created the Twenty Truths film and accompanying journal. Taking the lead from Smedley’s premium aesthetic, both mediums focused on four core Smedley styles and used them to tell the story of the brand’s heritage, capture its dedication to craftsmanship and quality and its ongoing appeal and relevance to a contemporary audience.
