Exposure Group – HR Business Partner

The Exposure Group is an independent communications group built on the power of network, and established since 1993. Our original purpose was to make brands culturally relevant, and we do this by connecting them to their consumers through earned media channels. We work with some of the world’s best brands including Microsoft, Heineken, Champion, Coca Cola, Levis, TUI, Dr Martens, Uniqlo and Triumph.

The HR team sits in the centre of the Exposure Group, supporting around 250 employees across four separate operating companies in London, New York, and Paris. Each company has it’s own vision and purpose, but share the Exposure Group’s unique and vibrant culture which is underpinned by our values.

We’re looking for a very special person who can apply their expertise to help design, shape, and implement our People Strategy, and oversee the team to ensure we are providing an excellent and proactive service to our businesses.

Scope and purpose of the role

Reporting to the Chief Talent Officer (CTO), the HRBP will drive and implement the Exposure Group’s people strategy across London and its international offices. Partnering with Executive leaders and management, they will provide proactive, expert and strategic guidance in the areas of: organisation design and change, resource and talent planning, learning solutions, reward and benefits, and employee relations.

The HRBP will also be responsible for management of the central HR team, and work in collaboration with the HR & Talent Manager for Beauty Seen.

Leadership

Manage a small team based across London and New York, providing direction and guidance to each individual, ensuring excellent performance, and maintaining high levels of engagement.

People Strategy

Working with the CTO, responsible for the delivery of various projects to transform the HR department into a centre of expertise, and ensure the business’ approach to managing talent is modern, dynamic, pioneering, and suited to the Group’s unique culture.

Accountable for managing the People Budget, ensuring that spending is intelligent and planned, rather than reactive.

Business Partnering

Develop solid relationships with the CEOs and management teams of THRSXTY, Exposure Publishing and Exposed, building the HR team’s credibility and reputation as professional experts.

Identify critical business issues and develop appropriate strategies to address them, while challenging the status quo and exploring innovative ways of achieving results.

Provide relevant data insights to inform leaders about the status of their departments’ culture and trends

Organisation Change and Design

Provide advice and guidance to leaders to ensure organisation design is fit for future growth plans and evolving resource needs, and support leaders on the effective management of any change.

Educate business leaders on HR trends that may have an impact on their business.

Employee Relations

Oversee employee relations issues, while also looking for the root cause of any recurring or symptomatic issues, supported by research and data-led insights.

Interpret and advise on HR policy to assist in reaching commercially viable solutions and managing associated risk.

Performance & Talent

Partner with business leaders to support and encourage longer-term planning around talent pipelines, succession plans, and career development.

Forecast skills and talent requirements based on business strategy, and develop a talent development plan that will meet future requirements.

Coach line managers to manage performance on an ongoing basis and to have honest and straight-forward performance and career conversations.

Learning & Development

Develop and evolve a learning strategy to support the business’ future plans and needs.

Provide advice and guidance on performance or talent issues, and partner with leaders to formulate and implement solutions for their teams’ development.

Coach and support the company’s line managers to develop their leadership behaviours and capabilities, and help them to support and mentor their people’s career development.

Pay, Reward & Benefits

Coach and educate managers on compensation philosophies and practices regarding base pay, incentive schemes, merit increases, salary reviews and any other compensation related topics, while ensuring a fair and equitable approach is applied.

Help facilitate a thoughtful and objective discussion on pay and reward by asking questions about what the business is trying to compensate its employees for, and which behaviours to reward.

Oversee Gender Pay Gap reporting, advise on any accompanying narrative, and present thoughtful and intelligent guidance or solutions to close any gaps that are present.

Desired Skills & Experience

A strategic mindset, with demonstrable commercial awareness whereby you are able to fully engage with leaders and provide expert, pragmatic solutions.

Proven track record of working in partnership with business leaders and understanding their key drivers in order to measurably improve people management practices.

Ability to effectively influence and guide leaders, and offer innovative solutions to drive positive change.

Demonstrable experience of handling complex ER issues, with sound knowledge and understanding of employment law.

Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.

Solid planning skills, including the demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

A strong network of HR professionals and service providers, which you can draw upon as and when needed.

Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to engage, motivate and manage a high-performing HR team.

Exposed – Junior Digital Producer

Exposed is looking for a talented Junior Digital Producer to join our production team.

Exposed works with some of the world’s best brands from Microsoft, Google and Selfridges to Dyson, Hendricks Gin and British Heart Foundation.

We’re looking for a Junior Digital Producer to manage and deliver on projects from brainstorm to execution – ensuring goals are in line with the brands vision and delivered on time and budget.

As a Junior Digital Producer…

You will oversee/manage client productions, i.e. video, online content, websites – including planning, development, shoots and post production

You have the ability to lead and manage clients’ expectations through the entire project process and manage difficult aspects of these projects if needed

You know how to create estimates, schedules, SOWs and other relevant production documentation for all projects

You will be the key point of contact between agency team (creative teams, client services, comms team etc.)

You love being responsible for sourcing and hiring outside vendors for live action, social media, digital and post projects (and any other outsourced requirements)

You will support the wider production team when required

You will help oversee/manage Exposed internal productions, i.e. case-studies, reels, pitch films, etc

You love process and will ensure reporting & tracking protocols are maintained and updated

You are very comfortable leading client meetings and all internal ceremonies with creative & social and content teams

You will strive to maintain and promote successful working relationships between production, CS and other Exposure departments and existing and new 3rd parties

You will work closely with the social media team on internal and external shoots to deliver outstanding content and social media content calendar & toolkits

The successful candidate will be a highly organised individual who has the ability to multi-task. You relish in teamwork and get excited on the creative output that has been produced, scoping it from beginning to end. Problem solving will be at the forefront of working as a Producer, with the ability to collaborate effectively, improving partnerships and sparking further opportunities.

THRSXTY – Event Production Manager

The team is looking for an ambitious PR Account Director to join their PR team to work across some fantastic drinks and destination brands at a global and UK level.

You will be the lead on one of the agencies pillar clients Patrón Tequila, working across an international remit that includes; PR & events, alongside global planning and strategy work with Beam Suntory and UK activation for Wild Turkey bourbon and a new private members’ club in London. This is a fantastic opportunity to act as a true brand guardian and partner for our clients, providing senior counsel, strategic guidance, bold ideas and exemplary execution.

The work is fast paced, exciting, with a huge amount of input into client strategy, planning and activity.
