‘We reject the unsustainable turnover of flighty fashionistas, who rework themselves in transient faddery with every passing season!’
This was the ethos underpinning Toogood’s first London Fashion Week presentation with Exposure. Raised in the English countryside, sisters Faye and Erica Toogood arrived at the Toogood brand via different routes – Faye through furniture and interior design and Erica following a stint as a Savile Row-trained pattern cutter – but both are committed to creating a product that is hardwearing but not hard to wear. With their Redchurch Street studio seeming like a calm oasis in the heart of Shoreditch, the presentation provided guests with a moment of peace and respite from the hectic crowds of London Fashion Week.
This season saw Vip.com, one of the most successful e-commerce brands in Asia, partner with the British Fashion Council and London Fashion Week, marking the first time a Chinese retailer has been appointed an Official Sponsor of the event.
To celebrate this, Vip.com and Exposure partnered with global phenomenon, postmodern artist and influential fashion blogger Pandemonia to create a short film which highlights her London Fashion Week experience.
The content focused on various points of interest, including street interviews with LFW attendees, front row footage, exclusive backstage interviews with designers and a quick-fire Q&A session with journalist and broadcaster Josh Newis-Smith inspired by Vogue’s 73 questions.
