Way back when Kings Cross was in the early stages of its renovation, Exposure was approached by the Manhattan Loft Corporation to create a luxury brochure for a new property development in the area – Honor Oak Church Baptist church. The pioneering development took the beautiful red brick building and transformed it into ten luxury apartments with unchanged original features: authentic beams, lofty rooms and stained glass windows.
The brochure needed to reflect the space’s heritage while emphasising its contemporary restoration. We took design inspiration from the Bible – from the leather cover, the fabric page marker, lightweight paper stock and use of the recurring shaft of light device throughout – Photography and typeface was wholly modern making the finished product a replica of the space.
The design’s excellence was recognised when it won the Howard Smith Paper Graphic and Design Print award.
